I do not know if this can be done. I am working with a Novell guy. In Novell when you add a folder it is hidden from everyone except those who have permission to access it. In AD, when you add a folder, it is seen by everyone but can only be accessed by those who have the proper permissions. Our environment has many folders and I would like to minimize people from seeing the folders they do not have permission to. Is there a way to do this?

If you give your shares a name with a $ at the end they will be hidden.

From the file level you can not hide it.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Regards,

Mark
