Got a little problem that is making me tear hair out (what I have left anyway!)
This is the scenario:
Test Domain network with 2 servers
TOPDC and TESTLAB
TOPDC was the first server into the forest tsa.org and we then added TESTLAB as a DC in its own domain (test.tsa.org) and as a child to the tsa.org
We then setup TESTLAB as a GC. We have sites all setup with the correct transport. Looking at the trusts, both servers trust each other.
It does seem that Replication is happening, as there are reports showing. The problems we are having:
> From tsa.org, we can only administrate tsa.org, where as from test.tsa.org we can administrate both. When trying to connect to test.tsa.org from tsa.org we get an error saying "no rights to connect".
> We dont seem to be able to view ADUC information in tsa.org from test.tsa.org. IE- we can see the local domain users but not those from the parent, and vice versa.
Have run both DCDiag and NetDiag, both of which pass with flying colours
