Hi there

Subject line tells it all.
Active Directory password complexity rules enforced even when disabled.

Group policy settings are disabled for this, I have ensured work stations are upto date using GPupdate.exe

This password policy has been enforced a before.

Have tried searching the usual places , as yet no joy

Any help apreciated

Regards

- BTW any other places this could have been set from other than Grout policy?

disabled means leave it default? ? make sure policy is enabled and set the setting to disabled or 0. also make sure the users are not in a OU that's under a different GP.

Hi there thanks for the response.

This is fxed.
FAult was a collegue disabled the default domain policy so we only had the uer policy's in place. The fix was to enable the default domain policy on the machines.

I cannot say why maybe its a machines default behaviour that when a machine policy is not in place it enforces password complexity??
