I set up a new user in Active Directory and then logged on sucessfully to Windows. I went to set up an Outlook 2000 account and Outlook says it can't find the account. I also can't see where the mailbox was created on exchange. I'm aware there is a lag time between the entry is made in Active Directory and when it gets to exchange but this does not seem to be the issue.

I've done this a number of times in the past and never had any issues. I'm stumped at this point. Any suggestions?

Thanks for responding.

My co-worker found the problem. Here is the note he sent me:

I checked the web and there are several articles pertaining to our problem. One occurred after migrating to a new server which would be the same as migrating from the old drives to the new larger capacity drives (which we did last month).

I found an entry under Recipient Update Service that was missing on the Exchange Server. This service controls updating the domain with address information for recipient objects.
