IS is often told 2-4 weeks ahead of time that we have personnel leaving but then don't get termination reports from HR until 2-4weeks after they have gone. Is there a way to set a future time and date in AD to disable an account?

Account Expires allows you to set a date in the future.

Ya in situations like that it's good to use the Account Expiration feature. You can also setup a script to set that attribute programatically if you can hook into the HR system to help automate it.
