Hi all. Running W2k3 server (mix of Standard & Advanced). Garbage Collection is reporting that we have only 9MB free space remaining (of 500 total) but I can't find anything that tells me what I should do about it.

From Event Log:-
Internal event: The Active Directory database has the following amount of free hard disk space remaining.

Free hard disk space (megabytes):
9
Total allocated hard disk space (megabytes):
504

Do I need to worry? What I've read says there should be no maintenance needed. The physical volume isn't full (over 10GB free)

Any/all ideas & advice gratefully received.

Well yes, I did! Turns out the "Free hard disc space" isn't how much is available, but rather the empty space within the existing database. So, no issue & no action required. Thanks porkchopexpress!
