Hello, Our current configuration is Series 7 Ver 3. We have configured Cognos to work with AD. The schema version is 16. We have the following questions

1. Why the access manager does not show a user which was added with Active Directory using Users and Computers screen?

2. Is Access Manager users and Domain users are two different schemas?

3. Can you new users to domain from Access Manager?

Thanks

1- Because Cognos Series 7 maintains it's own list of users.

2- Well, there's only ONE schema, but the answer to your question is yes. Eac has their own list of attributes.

3- I assume that you mean add to domain, so the answer is no. There is NO relationship bewteen the two.

If you want to leverage some of the details that the existing users have (email, etc) then you could look at using esxternal user support. You'll have to check the documentation for this as it's pretty lengthy for AD.

I´m trying to configure Cognos to work with AD but i don't know how. Anyone could explain what configurations i need to in Configuration Manager to get it work?

Thanks
