Active Direcotry name field

I had some employees get married and I changed their name in Active directory and exchange, but the Name field will not update, display name has updated fine, and it is updated everywere else, but not in AD any suggestions?

name field? do you mean first name, last name...?

There's name, surname, firstname, display name fields. If you only open up the user object and change the surname field and display name it will not update the name entry. Which is the one seen when just looking at the user object in AD. For this to change you need to rightclick the user and select rename.
