Active Cell or Row

Hello,

What I am attempting to achieve may not be possible without code, but here goes anyway.

I am trying to find a function that will tell me which row on a worksheet is currently selected.

For example:

If I am currently on worksheet "X" I would like to know the row number on worksheet "Y" that is currently active, without using code if possible.

I don't think you've quite got the concept of what "active" means. If you are currently on worksheet "X" then that is the active book, and the active cell there is the only active cell in the workspace.

What you want to know is, what if I switched to worksheet "Y", what would the active cell be on that worksheet, and to be able to do that you are going to need code ( basically, code that would actually switch to worksheet "Y", look at what row number the active cell is on, and then switch back again ).
