Active/Active HA cluster shutdown

When you shutdown one of active/Active HA clusters (one is down; the other is up) for maintenance, do you do clstop "takeover" or "graceful" on the node going down?

I've never worked with Active/Active clusters but logically you only need to clstop it using graceful on that node because for the active/active clusters both nodes access the same resource group! so you don't have to takeover to the other node because that node already sees the resource group!

By the way, the above assumes that you are using cluster-aware application like oracle RAC with RAW volume groups (I guess that's what you meant by Active/Active right?)
