I am system admin in a small organization. I like to use the NetMeeting Remote Desktop Sharing feature to administer and troubleshoot. Some of my users tend to disable the feature by clicking "Turn Off Remote Desktop Sharing" in the taskbar.

Is there a way i can remotely turn it back on (activate it) either by changing a value in their registry or using some sort of VB script. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you looked at this?

How do I prevent users from turning off RDS in Netmeeting?

"If you use the Remote Desktop Sharing (RDS) feature of Netmeeting to troubleshoot user problems and perform remote administration, you don't want your clients turning RDS off.

To gray (disable) their ability to turns off RDS via the Systray icon, use regedt32 to navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Conferencing\Mcpt

On the Edit menu, Add Value name Nx, as a REG_DWORD data type. Set the data value to 1.

NOTE: Only administrators will be able to disable RDS."

Can you further strengthen it by altering the access permissions for the suggested registry key?
