This is a shot in the dark..... If ANYONE has done this before, I'm interested in hearing from you.

Last year we were purchased by a company that's a Nortel shop and we're integrating for synergy saving purposes.

We've just integrated our HiPath 4500 to a Nortel 81C in another state via QSIG Trunks. The voice mail system we plan on moving to is a Nortel Call Pilot that hangs off the 81C. We have the MWI working correctly on the 4500 from the Call Pilot. Works like a champ.

Off of my 4500 I have a 3700 gateway to 10 remote locations via Cornet. We now have the network built so these locations can get through the 4500 to the 81C and get answered by the Call Pilot voice mail system.

Here's my issue. The QSIG signaling to turn on and off the MWI on the 3000 station at my remote locations is stopping at the 4500. I'm being told by my local Siemens account team and designer that the gateway and remote switches will not support the "standard" QSIG signaling that comes across the D-Channel. Yes, the 3000 has QSIG capbilities but they are basic features and not the industry standard.

Has anyone attempted and succeeded in getting the MWI working properly in this scenario? If not via the network but out of band via a 3rd party?

What is the name of the signalling supported/ being run to your remote locations

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

The protocal that's running on the 300 network is Cornet-NQ
