Greetings:

It's been a little while I hope everyone is well.

I'm having an issue activating a PEN. We installed a new card not to long ago and we was able to add a phone to the card using:

BCSU and DSSU.

I am in the process of adding a new phone to the card but when I attach my tone generator to the system I get nothing.

I know before you assign a PEN you have to activate it first.

Did I miss a step or 2? What did i do wrong.

All feedback is welcomed, Thanks in advance!

What is the output from this command?

dis-sdsu:all,,pen,per3,LTG,LTU,SLOT,CCT;

What kind of phone are you trying to add? Analog, Digital (like OS40T), or IP?

You said you have previously successfully created a phone on this board. If that is the case:

If that phone that works is analog do this: REG-SCSU:stno,XXXX;

If the phone is IP or Digital: REG-SBCSU:stno,XXXX;

Take the resulting text that looks like ADD-SBCSU.....etc Copy it, and paste it into the command line in Comwin DO NOT Press ENTER yet

Change the PEN number to the next higher (or an open) port, and change the extension number, THEN press Enter.

That should create a phone exactly the same as the one that works except with a different PEN and XTNO.

Now say ACT-DSSU:DI,STNO,XXXX; and that should activate the phone.
