Activate Excel built in Data Entry Forms whilst Linked / in Range mode

Hi
Hoping someone can assist.

I have exported some data into Excel from Sharepoint.
I have not yet unlink or convert to range.

I know if i unlink or convert to range mode, i can bring up the forms by the following code:
ActiveSheet.ShowDataForm

Is there anyway of bringing up the form without having to unlink or convert to list?
