Actiontec gateway + vpn

Arrghh can someone please help. I want to setup a VPN so that I can get to my pc.

I have forwareded port 1723 to the machine that i have setup VPN on but I get "ERROR 721 remote computer did not respond".

Does anyone have the actiontec wireless gateway and managed to setup a vpn on it?
