Actions--On mouseEvent

why is it that this action idisabled?

how do i make a layer with MouseEvent [sig][/sig]

Grab everything in the layer and press Insert Convert to symbol. Now name it and select button.

Now you have the actions tab in its properties window and you can add the events.

I was having the same problem, I did what you said, and mine is still greyed out...I have version 5....anymore suggestions??

Make sure the graphic, picture or whatever is a symbol. And convert it if necessary. You can right-click it and check it's behavior, in the Library.
Once you're sure it's a button, right-click it ion stage and select actions from the menu. The &quot;on&quot; event should then be available.

I figured out what I did... I was clicking on the frame and not on the 'INSTANCE' of the button....
