Does anyone know where I'd find any basic/begginer tutorials on using 'action script'. I'm completely new to action script but know my way around flash MX ok.

I know that the help files and tutorials that come with flash are excellent but they seem to assume you know the basics when it comes to scripting.

I think I've been living in a cave for the last couple of years!

Thanks,

Jamie

finally i decided to buy a book for €44 (~$43). i don't know if it makes sense to recommend it to you as it is written in german. anyway you can find info about it on regards

Add my vote for "ActionScript: The Definitive Guide" by Colin Moock.

I am not a big fan of Friends of Ed. Their books are littered with typos and bad grammar, there code sometimes has errors and they get far too cutesy with their writing.

They're pretty expensive too. The only book on actionscript that really matters is 'The Definitive Guide' by Colin Moock - the MX edition comes out next month, I'd wait for that.

Very satisfied of this one:
"FlashMX ActionScript Bible" by Reinhardt & Lott Regards,
