I created a form with fields and posted it to my web page. I can open it and submit it just fine with my Acrobat, but when people try to open it via the Internet 2 things happen:

first, they get a notice (when they click on a text form field that "Data will not be saved, but they may be able to print or submit it". They can then continue to fill it in with no problems. Then when the click the submit button they get an error that says "this action is not permitted" (I told it to submit the entire .pdf, not .fdf or anything). I assume it's just a security setting somewhere, but I'll be damned if I can find it. Does it HAVE to be submitted as an .fdf if filled out from a reader? HELP!!!

Yes, it has to be submitted as an FDF, or as HTML. My advice when it comes to Acrobat forms on the web is: don't do it. Adobe has fragmented the Acrobat product so much, they've even intentionally crippled certain features so that you have to buy "server" products, that any Acrobat Form workflow is bound to expensive, frustrating, and a maintenance nightmare.

Just use a regular HTML form. If you MUST have PDF, investigate some of the 3rd party PDF Form tools.

When printing a form created with Acrobat 6.0 Pro, the selection in the list boxes prints as a highlighted item. How do you turn off the highlighting?
