Hi, I'm hoping someone here might solve my problem. I've been running Act 9 for while on XP on my pc and syncronising with my laptop. Recently upgraded my pc with xp (new PC)as old pc had cased many problems currupting files etc (including act db files) Re-installed Act on new pc and restored database from the laptop. Opens up fine but will not let me register my copy of Act. It keeps telling me that I need administrator privelages to register - I am the administrator and am logging in with my usual admin username and password etc.(same as the laptop) Problem is in 30 days time Act is going to tell me that my trial period is up! I can of course keep using my laptop no probs but really could do with syncing with my desktop!. One other thing which I thought was strange was that at no time during installation was I asked for the licence key on the back of the box.

Many thanks in advance

Leigh

OOps sorry second line should read "Recently upgraded my pc with Vista

I would recommend Vista for anyone at this time... Gartner estimate that only about 50% of business software will run on Vista with no problems... even most Micrisift softwae doesn't properly run on Vistra.

That being said, have you tried
In the Using ACT! 2007 on Vista section, there's a hotfix that you'll need to apply
