I have an ACT 6.0 database that I am attempting to link to Access as a linked table. The link is working fairly well with the exception that my field names do not match what is in ACT. I also noticed that some of the fields that appear to be on the contact record in ACT are not showing up in the Access table. On the flip side, there are some USR fields showing up in Access that are not in Act. Is there some sort of a link schematic in Act I can access? I have not been able to find anything on this and most of the information I find regarding Access and Act regards exporting and not linking. I have to have a dynamic link as I am going to be building an Access Front End that will access some of the Act data.

Hi,
I'm very interested as to how you tapped in with an ODBC connection. I run ACT8 and would like to create an ODBC connection so that I can create my own select queries. The only problem is I dont know the connection paramaters, e.g the SA password. Can you post details of how you connected via ODBC.

Many thanks,

Rob.

ODBC was an option with ACT! 6 and earlier (but not all the info)

You can only use OLE/DB or the SDK for ACT! 7 and later
