Every time I start Act this is what comes up, "Act failed to open a connection to the database" any ideas?

Hi Mike,

That did not help.

The problem I have is: I have just installed Act 2007 Version 9. After the installation, I try to start the program and then I get this message: “Act failed to open a connection to the database”. I have tried uninstalling the program and reinstall and still get the same error.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Jack

The minimum required RAM for Microsoft SQL Server is 512MB... and I'd recommend 1GB. So I don't know if that might be causing SQL to have a problem.

But it does look like SQL didn't properly install
