Act e mail merge poor graphics

I have Act 2007 (9.0) (ST Edition) Version 9.0.1.162...when I create a mail merge document (I have Word set as my word processor) and them save it as a template I get a severe reduction in the quality of the document....it's almost as if Act changes the doc to a very low grade doc...fuzzy and hard to read....is there any way to correct this? Thanks!

It actually the way Word converts to HTML.

The best solution for merging email from ACT! is to use Swiftpage as per the attached link
