Hello,

Trying to install first time ACT premium 2008 on windows 2000 server, says ACT! is not compatible with this operating system !!. I need to install ACT on Server in order to share databases. Is it really not compatible? or should I try installing ACT 6, where other all workstations will have ACT 10 will it work?.

Thanks for replies.

Windows 2000 support was dropped in ACT! 2008 (10.0) as part of making it support Vista.

ACT! versions up to 2007 (9.0) will work with Windows 2000

You cannot use different versions of ACT! with the same database.

You need to either stay with ACT! 6.0, upgrade to ACT! 9.0 or upgrade your Windows 2000 to XP, Vista or Windows 2003 Server.
