Act is suddenly asking for a password, where I've used it almost every day and never needed, and have never set up a password. I am the one who installed this program on my own system. Could the database be corrupt. If so, what do I do?

1. What version of ACT^!
2. Is it possible that you had a password set up and had it set to "Save Password" so you had never needed to type it in?

This is ACT 2005, and I have a strict personal policy to never password anything unless absolutely unavoidable, I live in a very private environment, so I don't need to, and I avoid problems whenever possible. In this case, passwording was optional.

Thank you Mike for trying to find an answer. No, its not the name, because I never have to input that at start-up. But after a cold boot, the program reset itself and is working. I'm thinking it was a cross-linked sector or something that is telling me that I am overdue for a defrag. I appreciate your input.
