I have just started to use Crystal Reports 9 with my ACT! 6 database.

I need to create a sales report by record manager, but the record manager field has an encrypted code in it.

Does anyone know how to access the record manager's name?

I would post this in the ACT! forum, assumming there is one. Also, look under control panel, administrative tools, data sources to see if the ACT! install placed an ODBC data source there. It may be that this is a proprietary database and the data source installed by the ACT! install is the only way you can read the database.

Act6.0 is not compatible with Crystal 9. I have been reporting between the two for almost two years, once you make the upgrade to ACT 6.0 you can not report with Crystal at all due to the "unique ID" of the Act dbase fields. The is a detailed map on the Crystal web site that shows you exactly how to map your ACT fields. See if that works.
