I would post this in the ACT! forum, assumming there is one. Also, look under control panel, administrative tools, data sources to see if the ACT! install placed an ODBC data source there. It may be that this is a proprietary database and the data source installed by the ACT! install is the only way you can read the database.

Act6.0 is not compatible with Crystal 9. I have been reporting between the two for almost two years, once you make the upgrade to ACT 6.0 you can not report with Crystal at all due to the "unique ID" of the Act dbase fields. The is a detailed map on the Crystal web site
