Greetings,

In some cases from certain databases, when we try to attach contacts in order to send them to another ACT user, one of three things happens.
[ol]
[li]The recipient receives the information and is able to import the contact without a problem.[/li]
[li]The recipient receives the information and is able to import the contact, but the options for notes/histories/activities/etc. are greyed out. Consequently, none of the notes/histories for the attached contacts imports.[/li]
[li]The recipient receives the email but there is no visible attachment at all.[/li][/ol]

Does anyone have any idea as to why #2 or #3 would occur? Thank you.

Save ACT! versions and database structure?
Same person sending/receiving the email?
Same email clients?
Same options when sending?
Can you replicate it?

Why do you email contacts? If sharing data, why not use sync?

We do not, at this point, use sync because our marketing manager wanted everyone on the sales staff to feel like they owned their own database. Eventually, though, this is what we'll be moving towards.

Same ACT versions - different people sending contacts to different people - different sets of clients - same options when sending.

Can I replicate it? No.
