Hello All,
We have just purchased ACT! 2007 Premium for workgroups and I have to setup and configure the following:
1. Multi-user networked setup
2. Create a number of customized fields and create customized layouts
3. Determine Synchronization policy
I seem to recall there was a list of "Best Practices" withregards to multi-user network setup. . . using mapped drives for database location, shared folders to store templates, etc. I was wondering if anyone has one of these for ACT 2007?
I have created customized fields and layouts before so I am not worried about that.
Synchronization issues
- Single desktop user and 4 laptop users
- While in the office the laptop users would like to be using the networked(shared) ACT database
- On the road the laptop users would like to work from a local installation of ACT! then synchronize when they get back to the office.
Would this method still work in ACT 2007?
Using a webbased ACT! solution is not something we want to attempt.
Thank you for your attention with these questions.
Regards,
Michael
