I have been working with ACT2000, MAS200, and Crystal 8.5 for several months, and I am having a problem with running reports. Crystal does not recognize all of the ACT fields for reporting, can it not read the "Groups". I have over a hundred groups in my AT database and almost 1600 contacts split between them and I can not run a report to pull the customers in those groups. Can anyone HELP with this problem???

The table joins are confusing in Act/Crystal joins. I am able to print a report that groups on "Group Name" and then lists all contacts for that group. Be sure to follow the table joins as listed below.

From the Contact Table link the Unique ID Field to the Contact Field in all of the tables below
Email Table
Groups Table (Not the Group table)
Activities Table ( Not the Activity Table)
Sales Table
Notes/History Table

Next

From the Groups Table link the Groups Field to the Unique ID on the Group Table

From the Unique Id on the Group Table link both to Group in the Sales Table and Group on the Notes Table.

Then link the product ID Field on the Sales Table to Unique ID on the List Table.

When all of these links are complete, you should be able to run reports using all fields from the act database. It certainly would be a lot less confusing if Act had a better idea for naming their tables.
I hope this helps you. Good Luck with your reports.
