Hi

I am running ACT 2000 rev 504 on windows XP SP2 machines. I run office XP (2002) and outlook 2002, connecting to a 2003 SBS.

Outlook work fine on its own, but when i use the email tab in act and try to open a email or reply to a email, act crashes, it closes the aplication and shows no error messages.

Any ideas

Have you installed Office SP2 on your machine?

Did you set Outlook as the default e-mail system?

Hi Apulcedarhill

We have a mixture of SP1 and SP2 istalled for office and the fault occurs on them bith .

Outlook is the default e-mail system.

We don't get the problem if we open outlook first, browse a couple of folders eg sent items and inbox, then open act, browse couople of folders, start a new email and close it. After all this act will work fine.

Problem normally occur when replying to emails in act

I have had the same problem, but work around by making sure I open Outlook first before Act tries to open the .pst file.

Has not been a problem since doing that.

Good louck.
