ACT 2000 - I can't import! Please Help!

i have recently reformatted my computer, and ever since then I have not been able to import into ACT. I get an "out of memory" error box, and ACT freezes. Could it be a recent windows update? Can anybody help?

Does this happen with the demo database?
What are you importing from?

Often this is a corrupt table being imported

Are you using a LAN - if so, are you importing on the server or a workstation?
If on a LAN have you check opportunistic record locking?

Have you tried a Compress/Reindex?
