Of course ACT 2000 does not seem to work with Word 2003 and it looks like ACT will not be putting out any updates to integrate the two. But has anyone else got Word 2003 to work with ACT 2000?? Any suggestions instead of upgrading to ACT 6.0??
You need to install the update 5.0.4 which is specifically to add back word connectivity between ACT2000 & Word. You may have to download this manually from teh web site rather than thru the auto-update.
Have you come up with a solution with ACT 2000 (5.04) and Word 2003? I am having the same problem and it appears that upgrading to ACT 6.03 is the only solution, which I would prefer not to do. Please advise. Regards
No, no solution yet. Currently I am really caught because if I upgrade to 6.0, then my Word 97 users will not be able to use Word 97 with ACT 6.0. But as it stands now, my Word 2003 users can't use their version of Word with 5.0. What I am doing right now is letting the Word 2003 users use the ACT word processor when they need to print a fax coverpage or a report. Not the best solution, but until I upgrade everyone left using 97 to 2003, it will have to do. I'm sure there's a registry value I can change someplace but I just don't know where it's at.
