ACS7 Night Mode only Works when Button is Lit

Hello.

I have a Partner ACS7 and am stumped by the night mode behavior. I could swear it was working as it should at one time or another. When I tested it tonight, with the Auto Attendant set to use both the switch and the weekly business schedule, the night mode did not go on automatically at 6 pm. It only works if the night service button is manually activated (lit). Isn't the night mode supposed to activate automatically upon closing time when set to use both?

I further ran some tests and changed the setting so that the day and night modes would be controlled by the weekly business schedule only and disabled the night service button. Still, the day mode was operating even though it was after closing time.

When both the night switch and weekly business schedule are used, the button should overwrite the current mode for the remaining duration unless manually disengaged.

The reason why I have it set to use both the switch and weekly business schedule is because we are a small office and sometime there is one person in the building that may need to leave during the day and temporarily switch the phones to night mode via the switch to activate the call forwarding and again upon return to disengage it. This works fine, but the problem is that the system seems to be stuck in day mode unless the button is pressed.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Despite being a choice, the option to use both switch and business schedule does not work. The Switch will control the number of rings before the auto attendant answers incoming calls...while the Business Schedule switches between day and night greetings.

So I guess the best option in this scenerio would be to use the switch mode since the business schedule mode will not change the day / night menus when the night service button is pressed.

You can use the Weekly Business Schedule to determine WHICH message plays when the call reaches the auto attendant, and the Night Service button to control how many rings before answering. This means you can press the NS button during the day (perhaps at lunch, or during a meeting), have the AA answer immediately, but answer with the Day greeting.

Or, you can follow the Switch Mode, where the NS button determines which message plays, AND how many rings before it plays.

As Dexman states, the option to follow BOTH the switch mode and weekly business schedule does NOT work properly, and should never actually be used.

Thank you for the clarification. Very much appreciated.
