Hi we have taken over a site that someone else installed a ACS 7.0 91E. The customer wants to have a line ring directly to the auto attendant (employee backdoor). Also have a user who we programmed a line to ring to directly (boss) but the call does not go to his mailbox, it just rings constantly. We assigned ownership of the line and tried programming a VMS cover button, but that didn't work either, checked timer was set for 3 rings. Any help would be appreciated.

For the Back door
Assign the line to the auto attendant in #206-7-XX-1(xx being the co position) and the delay to zero in #506 mode 1 for day mode 2 for night
For the private line assign it to the ext with # 208 and 1 for assigned and try #310 for auto vms cover for that ext, Also if you still have problems you should say which VM your using

A side thought. I noticed the revision of the processor is "E". That is the original software that Avaya supplied with the R7 processor.

Since then, Avaya has issued a series of patches to correct various problems. The "K" revision seems to be the most stable. "O" is the latest. It adds some nice features to the system, but early adopters of the software found some bugs that may or may not have been resolved.

If you find the processor is losing programming during power failures, you might want to flash it up to "K". If "O" has been fully debugged by now, you could even go up to that level.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
