I have a Partner R6 with a pcmia small voicemail card. When I call in I am getting a voicemail responce that says "this mailbox is not accepting calls at this time, good bye" and then hangs up??

I have Auto Attendant turned on and it will answer from time to time correctly but most of the time I get the above.

Any ideas?

Mailboxes can be set for Answer Only, instead of Record Mode. Log into the mailbox that is answering, and select option 8. Change it to Record Mode.

If a mailbox is answering instead of the Auto Attendant, check the settings in #206-7 (which assigns the line to the Auto Attendant) and #208 (which routes lines to mailboxes)

Could also be the service provider you have's mailbox. If you have voicemail on the line itself, when all lines are busy, it would bounce to that. Check to make sure if it is the Avaya lady's voice or a different voice. that'll tell you whether it's the Partner PC mail answering or the service providers voicemail answering.
