I don't think the R2.0 has a choice of small versus large version. I believe it was only available in 2 or 4 mailbox mode. The R3.0 has the small (2 or 4 mailboxes) vs. the large (2,4,6,8,10,12 mailbox option). The small version has 40 minutes of storage and the large version has 110 minutes of storage. Other than that, I don't think there were any actual features added between R2 and R3.
