Hey guys..

I need to know how to tell which revision of the Partner ACS processor I have.

The documentation I've been reading doesn't even mention how to get into a "system status" area, where I would be able to get the revs of all the boards in the system (kinda like the Merlin Legend has)

The only markings on the outside of the chassis I can find are the serial, and the "Model #: 103G4".

Does this correlate to anything useful? I need to know how to figure this stuff out myself, because I know this won't be the only time I get ahold of an ACS, and will want to know what it's capable of.

Thanks guys!

Hi Joel,
Go to a display phone and enter F59. The display will show you what software rev you are at. You will find that programming a Partner is more fun than a Magix, it is more flexible in some ways. It doesn't have least cost routing, but we don't use that as much anymore. It doesn't really network either. At least you don't have to "fake" it out as much.
I think drewmich can help out here with the hardware revs marked on the card.

Feature 59 from any display set will provide firmware release level.

There is a board status indicator built into the remote maintenance software on ACS R3 and higher, but the switch is purposefully built simple enough so that a visual scan of the power indicator lights on each of the running modules is sufficient to verify status. Vintage and revision of the various modules has far less meaning than with a Legend or Magix, other than the CPU.

Just loke with the Magix, grab a display set, power up the CPU and play! It's the best way to learn the switch, especially with a programming book in your hand.

Welcome to the world of ACS!
