ACS remote administration connect problems.

I am running a laptop with XP service pack 2. I have tried every modem under the sun! The built in modem, 56k, 36k, 14.4 etc all PC cards. I then read a post that said Avaya recommends the external model 0525 by USR(U.S. Robotics). I bought one thinking this was the ticket.

All the PC card modems never got to a connect, except one did when lowering the speed to 19.2k. It popped the connected at 14.4k screen and then timed out.

The external USR 0525 connects every time at 14.4k and then times out. I tried running in compatibility mode for win98, no help! Why is the password prompt not popping up after connect prompt??

I am stumped! I can connect locally by dialing 76 into a port.

Help!!

Hi ScoTTeL,
Well, I haven't had a problem ... until my uP blew in my computer and was replaced. Now I can't connect. Hyperterminal works fine. I'm going to reinstall the program and I'll let you know.
