ACS rel. 7 time keeping issues ??

Hello,
Has anyone heard of any problems with the time increasing or decreasing on REL.7 . Im confused because these a relatively new units. Is this a know prob. I can understand on an older unit but these are new?? Any comments will be appreciated!
 
when i was a tech, teir 111 tech , told us lucent does not spend alot of money on clocks in the phone system, so live with it
 
The R6's I've worked on have clocks that tend to run fast, so frequent adjustments seem to be the norm.

For installs where caller ID is in use, you would think that the processor would use timestamps to automatically adjust the time of day clock just like consumer telephones do.

Maybe Avaya can add a more reliable clock on future ACS versions. [ponder]
 
If there is a power issue causing power fluctuations a UPS may help. Although, the ACS does not keep that great of time in general, so it may not be the issue.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.
