We noticed when programming from ext 10, that the ring selection on line appearances does no always take.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Note: Programming from PC is not a problem.

Hi ITGCOM,
I haven't noticed it either. Try to default the next system before starting to program. I've done three so far, and gone back to do line ringing assignments with no troubles.

Yeah, I could swear thats always been a problem at times for all ACS's and even the PII and plus. I would program the buttons and sometimes customer would call a week later to tell me some are not working. I check and button is blank. I KNOW I programmed them! This is only for central telephone programming. When I program the buttons at the extension itself I never see this.

Hi Hal,
Yeah, me too. I also get all kinds of mystery programming, and no one did it. Now I know someone has been in there besides me. Esp. with phone button programming.

If it is the customer making programming changes and we have to fix it we charge for that. If it is another vendor making changes we charge for that as well. Although another vendor making changes would void the warranty if not certified on the system. We use the GUI to back up before we leave , and then restore to fix the problems, if they need changes after the restore, that is billable time. Many customers will not allow their buddy who "knows" how to make changes touch the system after knowing this. Also, the R7 does a forced backup after changes are made if I recall, so you can tell within about 24 hours when the last access to programming and changes were made.

Hi aarenot,
Yup, you are correct about the change save and log. I have then feeling that most of use don't check the logs. I do as it solves some weird faults.
