ACS R7 all lines light up on exts 1

When a call is recieved, the extensions "beep" not ring, and all line lights are lit so the incoming call is not distingushed between lines. The problem is when the other lines are in use, you can't tell which line is the incoming call. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Need more info.....new install? modules used? is their voice mail involved?

Without knowing anything more about the system I can only guess.It sounds like you have voicemail and the ports are not set up.
 
I agree with 1043. Sounds like something's not quite right with the voicemail configuration.
 
This is a new install with a referurbed R7 processor module. To the left of the processor are two 012e modules. On the right is a R1 voice messaging system. There is a four port card installed in the messaging module . This equates to five incoming lines and 33 extensions making my last extension 42 . Ports 45,46,47, and 48 have been assigned to the voice mail system. This condition was noted before the ports were assigned as well as after the ports were assigned . When the voicemail module is uninstalled from the system, everything works great . I reinstalled the voicemail module with the 4 port card uninstalled , and the same problem occured. I'll check the Avaya site for patches concerning the items involved .

Looks like your VM ports are 43/44/45/46

first 2, or 4 or all 6 for Partner Messaging R1, R6, R7
last 2, or 4 on Partner Mail VS 4 or 5
