I have never seen this time issue before, wondering if it is a bad processor. The client was originally complaining the time change anytime a new call came in (they have caller id). I fgured it was the Partner synching to the caller id being sent causing the issue. But, when I went on-site this morning, I discovered that isn't what is happening.

I set the time properly, then made an inbound call from my local cell phone. The time changed to 12:29am. The date remained correct.

I then did a reset save all, then changed the time to the proper time again. A call came in and the time changed to 12:31am. The date remained correct.

I then defualted the processor, programmed the basics back on, and made a call in. The time changed to 12:39am. and the date changed to 5/8/11.

I waited a few minutes, called in again, and the time kept on ticking (I believe it was at 12:41am) and the date stayed at 5/8/11.

It doesn't appear to be setting itself to caller id. It appears it is just reverting to it's own clock which happens to be off.

Anyone else seen this?

First, are you sure it is an R6, and not a later 7 or 8?

7 with the patch and 8 synch to CID, 8 can turn the feature off.

I've had CLECs deliver lines via sip and an iad, and have the time stamp on CID totally off.

It's definitely an R6. And they have plain old pots lines from ATT.

Then the processor may have a bad clock chip or a bad crystal. Try another processor.
