ACS r6 ringing after hangup

ok so heres the deal i have the partner acs r6 with 2 lines coming in and 4 phones i hook everything up and when i call one of the lines and hangup the phones keep ringing one or two times after i hang up and i cant figure out why.... when i plug a regular phone into one of the line directly it doesnt do it....please help

when you answer on a sytem phone it keeps rinigng ?

if you are answering the line on a phone not running through the system the system often will ring for a cyle or two becouse it is responding to the signal that has already reached it .

all thats hooked up right now

the 2 lines into the sys
4 extensions into the sys

when i call a line from my cell and hang up befoer answering with a sys phone it keeps ringing

but if i do answer with the sys phone everything is normal

nothing else is worng just that

the reason it keeps ringing is evan though you have hung up the system is responding to the ring signal from the telco . when you answer with the system phone it tells the system to stop ringing

everything is working as it should

so when i hang up on the outside line and it keeps ringing on the system thats normal

is there anyway i can stop that from happening

your standard phone ring is powred by the telco line . when you hang up the ring signal drops ,phone stops ringing.

when the ring signal hits the ACS it trips a relay that causes the acs to start a ring cycle so evan though the telco ring signal has stopped the ACS continues through a ring cycle becouse the relay has been tripped

when you answer a phone on the ACS it stops the Cycle
