I have a customer that wants to add 2 new extensions, but doesn't want the receptionist to have to answer/trans. the calls for the added users. They just want the calls to come directly to the person, and if they are busy, to go to voicemail as normal.

My solution (i think)- Add 2 new incoming CO lines (cust. wants to add some anyway), and have 1 line (hence- new number) to each new person. I would guess that I could program the line to be the only one to appear on that phone, so as to keep the receptionist out of the loop, unless they zero out of VM and hit the receptionist that way. Does this sound like it would work? He doesn't want to get DID/T1 for this, so that's out.

I may not be able to fix it, but I certainly can't break it any further- Jay

Thank you!

Remember, if they are busy on their assigned incoming line, another caller to the assigned line gets a busy signal, doesn't go to voice mail. You would need to have another line for it to hunt to, also answered by the user's voice mail.
