ACS Power Supply smoke

I had an ACS Module that started to smoke and then stopped working. I opened it up and it looks like a component on the power supply is charred. This unit was in service since 2006 and then turned off for a few years and the the customer wanted it re-installed. Is this common for the ACS? Do I just need to replace the PS?

I wouldn't say it is common, but if all it was is the ps you can swap that out or send it for repair.

I'd say it's not uncommon. A new power supply will probably fix your problem, but it's possible that the power supply caused some damage to the ACS motherboard.
