I took a 14 year old ACO with Ext-10 thru 20 and added Partner Mail to it and then changed it into a Hybrid Mode operation for a Dr's office.

No big deal i have done this before.

Now their sets are locking up, lines are locking up, Partner Mail is ok. For example I have the sets set up for ALS to pick up the I/C lines first which means they need to dial 9 for an outside line.

During the day some of the sets will actually change their configurations and the ALS will switch back to POOL 880 lines 1 and two on the display sets.

I defaulted the entire system removing the batteries and starting over programming from scratch but again today when I arrived I saw red light on all the pool lines.

they only have 4 CO lines and they were all busy when I dialed in.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure, but based on the description, it seems like the problem started when the Partner Mail was added to the system.

I'm wondering if the voicemail is locking-up the phone lines. 1 way to tell would be to pick a system telephone and create Intercom buttons (make sure the buttons have status LEDs) for all of the voicemail ports and see if all of the ports are seized the next time the problem surfaces.

Customer reported that two of the ext. were now able to dial out without dilaing 9 first. I have each set configured for ALS starting with the first I/C then to pool 880-1 then 2.

I just arrived and I noticed that ext. 12 and 14 had the IC light lit green steady while no one was using it. When I picked up the handset I got a pool line on line 1 instead of the internal Partner IC tone.

As soon as I pressed the first IC button and hung up the green light went out and the set returned to normal ALS with the first IC line being the first one selected.

Any suggestions how to resolve this. I have never seen this before.

Check the hookswitch plungers on the sets, perhaps when they put the handset in the cradle, it is not actually disconnecting. This would leave lines in use, and green lights on whatever is not hung up on the phone that did not hang up.

Yes I have. One of these is a new set. The only way to get rid of the green light is to push the other IC and pool lines then it unlocks the line and the ALS programming goes back to normal.

Just to check my ALS programming this is what I did:

** ( I/C RIGHT BUTTON ) then ( POOL 1 BUTTON then POOL 2 BUTTON )

Is this correct?

This way they hear IC first then dial 9 then get a pool line.
