I have a fairly new ACS 7.0 stand alone.Users are telling me that "AT TIMES " they dial a outside telephone number and they connect to a incorrect party.
This happens on any of the 5 outside lines and all of the telephone sets.
The display on all of the 18D sets read the correct number dialed, but the party that answers is a completly different number than what was dialed.
Most times the numbers are not even close.
My experience tells me that I have a intermitent C.O. problem but before I fight the fight with the carrier, I was wondering if anyone out there has any hints.
I'm planning to be onsite tomorrow to test at the demarc with my test set to see if I can prove the trouble in or out.Is there a tone test within the Partner 7.0??
Thanks in advance!!

I has a carrier here that would see 5's as 8's, They would not believe me until I put on a digit grabber and showed him.

See if there is an regularity to the issue.

Are they trying to dial the number in speaker phone? There was a problem with the new series 2 euro phones that would pick up additional tones on speaker phone when dialing out. Too many people had complaints that the old microphones were not sensitive enough and the new series 2 phones were fixed of that problem and made them too sensitive. We had a customer that dialed one number and ended up with a 911 operator.

I'll 2nd ttech and phoneguyjr.

Bring a digi-grabber to the customer's location. Make test calls hands-free with the microphone active, muted and using the handset to see if you can duplicate the problem.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Calls fail with the hand set..not using the speaker and mic at all.
Can you point me to a digit grabber supplier.
Thanks

Was onsite today...I believe that it is fact the MIC echo that is causing incorrect digits...Since they do not use the MIC's at all [ small office one big room ] I just covered up all of the MIC's with tape and let them run with it for a few weeks.
I thought it would be easier than retraining them to turn the MIC off each time. They like to hit the speaker button, then dial out then switch to the handset
Thanks to all for responding.!!!
