Anybody know why the name or extension number won't display on a intercommed call inside the office on a ACS 8.0 509 processer?

We have sent (3) ACS 8.0 Processers out to a site and they all do the same thing. The customer is refusing to pay until this item is resolved since we told them it can display the name of the intercoming party.

the very first time you do an intercom on each of the ACS 8.0 processers it shows the name and extension number of the caller, every time after that it is blank.. it never works again.. we can take any of the 3 ACS 8.0 processers out of the system and they all work fine by themselves in displaying the info..

Any thoughts other than the 509 Processer's suck? Anybody run into this before?

When they try to voice announce or intercom each other the name display information does not show up on the receiving units display screen. It is just blank, the time and date stays on when someone is intercoming or voice announcing. Yes the MIC/ HFAI button is turned on over all of the phone sets.. Thanks for any input, Kyle

Well, you know, that is normal operation.....

I finally discovered this

If you Intercom another extension, ringing not voice announce, the calling extension will show.

If you Voice Announce another extension, and the receiving extension does NOT have their HFAI turned on, the calling extension will show.

If you Voice Announce another extension, and the receiving extension DOES have their HFAI turned on, the calling extension will NOT show.

If you have DSS/BLF buttons on the receiving extension, at least they will blink green to indicate which extension is calling.

A star for some good knowledge on that one TTT. I never knew that.

Thanks Tommy, That was very helpful.

The customer was the biggest royal pain ever and had us pull out the whole system because the name did not show up on voice intercom.. every now and then you get 1 customer you just can't please.. we explained that they didn't have to have their mic/hfai button on and then they would be relayed the info, but the Dr. had some gripes with the quality of the speakerphones as well.. The dummy had his phone set up on top of his computer, which we tried to explain was causing the issue of the speakerphone cutting in and out, but to no avail- they bought another system from another vendor, life sucks sometimes.. thanks for the help. learned something new
