If the power supply board goes bad, it is usually replaced. However....a bench test of the processor might turn-up damage....caused by the failed power supply....to the main board.
I have had several R7's that stop supplying power to the phones. I tried replacing the power supply with no luck. Had to replace the whole processor. Since then I have started putting backup cards in the ones I service and back them up to the card to make them easier to replace.
A genius doesn't solve problems, he prevents them~~!!~~
This seems to be a too common problem with the ACS 509. What many of us refer to as "the lights are on, but nobody's home." A friend of mine can fix this problem which involves pulling a chip off the main board and re-flashing it.
