ACS 7.0 Processor Dead Is There A Fuse?

I have a 7.0 5x9 Processor with green LED ..with power on
..no station ports will work is there a fuse anyone would no of?
Any thoughts on repairing?
 
We might need some more information to point you in the right direction, but let me throw out a few suggestions.

Partner system telephones require 2 pairs of wires to work. What happens if you connect a system telephone directly to the processor using the Avaya supplied cable? Does the LCD illuminate?

If the LCD does illuminate, but there is no outside dial tone, connect a regular single line telephone to the LEC demarc to make sure there is dial tone there and that the lines are assigned to the various extensions.


If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

I have plugged a working 18btn tel into all 9 ports adn get nothing...no display...no lights ...nothing
The green power light on the fron of the Proc is on.
I was thinking of wrestling with the clips on the processor to get inside.
I didnt know if there was a fuse or replaceable part within the unit that I should look for.
 
where did you get this ? It should still be under warranty

its not that hard to open the clamshell . and in your position I might( assuming there is no warranty to void) but I wouldn't hold out much hope of finding a easy fix

given all the problems with the Rel7 I would be looking tword a replacement
 
I had a very similar issue with an ACS R7. It was installed in January, was protected every way possible. After one of the many thunderstorms we have encountered over the past couple of weeks, same thing as you. The green power light was on the processor but none of the phones worked. Found that there was no power on pins 3 and 6, on any station ports. We are an AVAYA business partner so we replaced the ACS. If it is out of warrenty, you could probably purchase a power supply and see if that does the trick. Then again, you never know what other ICs could of have been blown as well. To answer your question, there is a fuse on the power supply, but i have never seen one blown, ever. To top it off, if that fuse was blown, you would not have a green light on your processor. Hope this helps you with your decision.

Based on what Skip & Jinxs have said, I would lean towards replacing the processor. If it is still under warranty, contact the seller. If its not, just replace it.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
