ACS 5 to 7 1

Hello,

Have location with an ACS 5, will remove the 5 and install a new 7 (5 is going to a different location.)

Am I correct that I cannot download from the ACS 5 and upload to the 7?

The current system has a Partner Mail (I think that's the card, need to check) with a four port PCMCIA card. Anything special I should know about regarding the switch from 5 to 7?

Yes, your stations and lines will be different as the R7 is a 5x9 not a 3x8. so you will need to keep that in mind while programming.

I am plowing through the pages of print outs from the R5. Change, check it off, change, check it off...repeat ad nauseum.

Hi Jeff,
I think there was a post regarding transfers from the auto attendant and the R7. You may need to patch the software in the VS R5. I have not run into it myself. My understanding was that if you have VS4 or below you may need to upgrade the vm to a more current messaging unit. Let us know if you run into anything that way.
I have not run into any other problems with the R7.
